STORAGE

How do you charge for storage?

We charge based on number of days we have to store product per calendar month.

Eg, if you product arrived on the 10th of January, we will charge for the remaining 20 days in January. You would be invoiced on or before the 8th of the following month.

Does dry storage apply to empty kegs?

No, there is no cost associated with dry storage of empty kegs.

Is there a fee for storing empty kegs after they are returned from the account?

No, empty keg storage is included in the cost to deliver / return the kegs.

What temperature do you keep your cooler at?

DRINK’s warehouse is temperature controlled. Dry storage is 12-15 degrees Celsius and cold storage is 2-4 degrees Celsius.

Are you a bonded facility?

No, not at this time. All products in the DRINK warehouse are BC Liquor Manufacturers. All of our staff are bonded.

Security

What type of security is in place?

The facility is fully secured, digitally alarmed as well as monitored. Our warehouse is also in a gated lot.

Software

What does your software do?

Most sales representatives are comfortable using Ollie order software, so in order to make their life easier, we use the same system.

The current software provides the following features:

  • Queuing of transfers
  • Order placement
  • Automated Doc 60 generation
  • Customer contacts
  • Product inventory tracking
  • Order history
  • BCLDB batch data export

Placing orders

What is the order cut-off time?

Our cut-off time for next day scheduled delivery is 2pm.

How do I place an order?

Sales representatives can place an order for licensees or LRS accounts through our online software. Simply log onto our order portal quickly and conveniently with your login username and password.

Does DRINK take orders directly from the licensee or LRS?

Order desk functions can be provided. Please contact [email protected] to discuss this service.

What is the cut-off for rush orders?

Rush orders can be processed before 3pm for same-day delivery. please email  [email protected] or call 250-886-5252

Does DRINK process any payments from licensees or LRS?

No, we do NOT collect payments on behalf of the manufacturer, however we do offer COD pick-up from licensees at no charge.

Currently accounts call our order desk and place the order, we process payment and then place the order with the distributor. Will that process be the same with you or are the accounts calling you directly?

Yes, this would be the same system and process flow. We can also provide order desk services if desired, please email [email protected] for more information.

Billing

When are the storage and delivery invoices sent out?

Storage and delivery invoices are sent out by the 8th of each month for the previous month.

What is the best method of payment to DRINK?

DRINK accepts payment via Credit Card.

Terms

What are your payment terms?

DRINK charges all credit cards on the 25th of each month. All outstanding invoices will incur 1.5% interest on the overdue amount.

Transfers/pickups

How do I arrange to transfer my inventory to DRINK?

You can send an email to [email protected] with SKUs numbers and the quantity and we would be happy to assist the transfer.

Does DRINK provide inventory transfer services?

DRINK can arrange pick up for breweries & wineries operating on Vancouver Island.

Beverage producers must arrange inventory transfers themselves.

Inventory

When is the inventory report sent out?

All product inventory is available 24 hours a day on our online portal. At the end of every month we send out a detailed monthly inventory report of empty kegs on hand. On Mondays each week we send an inventory report outlining the empty keg returns from each licensee.

How is my inventory organized?

Inventory is organized by date of receipt and picked strictly on a first-in first-out basis.

Upon an inventory transfer, when will I see my inventory become available for deliveries?

All transfers will appear in inventory within 24 hours of receipt at DRINK.

Insurance

Is my product insured with DRINK?

DRINK has full liability coverage for negligence on our behalf.

Do you have any distribution Alliances?

At this time we do not have any distribution Alliances.

Empty Kegs

How will empty kegs be handled?

Weekly, monthly, or when a minimum number of kegs are returned?

Our return of empty kegs to DRINK from licensees and storage of the empty kegs are included in our costs of delivery.

We are flexible and can send empty kegs out on a weekly basis or on a set keg volume basis, whichever you prefer.

What is the fee to return empty kegs to our brewery/cidery?

Transfer of empty kegs to your brewery/cidery would be up to you.

How do I organize pick-up of empty kegs at DRINK?

All empty kegs are reported weekly and pick up can be scheduled at your convenience, please email [email protected]

Keg Deposit

How are keg deposits handled?

Who collects and returns the deposits, DRINK or us? How do we know when kegs are returned so we can refund the deposit?

DRINK will provide a report at the end of each week with detailed information on the number of kegs returned from each individual licensee. Keg deposits can be applied and charged upon a new order placed at the discretion of the manufacturer and automatically triggered to do so on our software.

All orders for the Monday Dec 23 (In lieu of Wednesday’s Dec 25, and Thursday Dec 26 deliveries) need to be in Friday Dec 20 by 2pm.
Additionally if producers could aim to have all Christmas week orders in by Friday December 20th we would appreciate it greatly.
